Planware: software to manage your workforce

Fast Planware is a software solution that focuses on the management of your workforce: personnel planning, punching in and out, personnel administration and internal communication. It’s an online personnel planning system that even makes it possible for your employees to connect to it from home. This makes your work and holiday planning a lot easier! It is a complete concept which is very easy to get started on.

Is your office full of those yellow post-it notes? Now, with Planware, you can reach your complete workforce with the click of a button. You can get a hold of them through email or even with a text message on their cell phone. And moreover, it becomes a lot easier for your personnel to reach you.

Planware is not just a planning system; it is also a registration system. At the beginning of their shift, people log on through a fingerprint reader. At the end of the day they scan themselves again to log out. Afterwards, you can create a complete overview of their effective work time on your computer. This makes your payroll management a lot easier and more accurate. The data can also be exported to be used in other accounting programs.

Fast Planware is part of the Office system. Contact us quickly to have this installed before your competition gets a hold of it.

Interview with Benjamin Thébault: marketing department
Benjamin Thébault, 25 years old, French, Marketing Department
Benjamin graduated in trade & business from the Technology Academy of Quimper, Brittany. This education was followed by an Erasmus year in Belgium and The Netherlands to study international business. His traineeship took place at SMS-Timing for 10 weeks in 2007 as a web editor. This placement moved him to study Management and e-commerce in Bordeaux, where he successfully graduated with honors.

His eye for quality, his understanding of the customers desires and his professional attitude have earned him a place in the Marketing Department of SMS-Timing. He is in charge of all our marketing campaigns and for the web visibility for both SMS-Timing and its customers. His hard work satisfies our customers in yet another way. The fact that Benjamin is French simplifies the communication with our clients from France. It also underlines the international character of our company.

How do you approach the marketing for go-kart centers?
Nowadays, time registration is not enough. Both for us and our customers, timing alone cannot bring the desired revenue. I strongly believe that timing plays only a small role in the success of a go-kart center. Being in contact with your customers through different media and making them spend more money while delighting them is the key to the profit. That's why we offer such a complete range of services and consultancy to our customers. Benjamin Thébault
Where do people come in contact with your work?
Together with the team, I mainly work on the front office of SMS-Timing. This means I have my hand in all our communication tools: our marketing campaigns, our new website, our newsletters, our brochures, our magazines, etc.
I can imagine your job is not limited to marketing alone?
Indeed! I'm also part of the sales department. I actively help them to explore specific markets and I help them in assisting our clients in a better way. For example, assisting our new customers to become more successful is our main priority. I personally want to help them using all the possibilities of our solutions.
Is it necessary to have your own website?
Of course! That's why we decided to rebuild it half a year ago. We wanted a better visibility in the search engines, a better way to navigate the site and a clearer design. A website is usually the first step towards a successful communication process. Visit our new website
Which procedures have you set up to satisfy the client?
At SMS-timing, customer satisfaction is divided in several steps and it starts right after the first contact. Waiting more than 24 hours to answer is unacceptable. At this level, we already distinguish ourselves from the competition. For the rest of the process, we moved from 'customer satisfaction' to 'customer delight'. Instead of simply responding to a customer's questions, we try to anticipate the needs of our customers and help them to go forward with our solutions.
With who do you work?
The strength of SMS-Timing is its team. The marketing department works closely together with the IT and sales departments on a daily basis. This reinforces our internal organization, which has a clear impact for our customers.
Which product is the 'latest and greatest'?
One of our most recent hypes is the 3D animations package for your briefing room. Instead of having the track marshal repeat the rules every race, he simply need to press one button and all the rules are explained in a friendly way. We also provide other animations which can be personalized with the customers' logo and the logos of its sponsors.

8 tips to improve the safety on your go-kart track
Safety is a key element for any go-kart track. Every accident can cause a lot of damage to your equipment and can leave you with a financial hangover. Here are 8 tips to reduce the chance of accidents happening on your track.
1. Choose the right staff:
The people who occupy themselves with your drivers have to show authority and alertness.
2. Educate your staff:
Train your employees on important safety regulations such as driver height requirements, hair safety, helmet use, payments and more. If needed, create a manual for your employees, followed by a quiz.
3. Inspection and maintenance:
Both your track and your go-karts must be in perfect shape. Your staff should look for debris and holes, test the traffic lights and check the barriers. Your mechanics should inspect the condition of every go-kart: frame, body, tires, drivers' seat, safety equipment and the gas tank. (Our Virtual Garage software can help you to manage these tasks).

4. Explain the rules:
A quality briefing can avoid the majority of the accidents. The track marshal has to take his time to explain the safety rules to your drivers. This speech can also be replaced by a 3D animation package that we offer.
5. Communication:
Post panels or posters with safety regulations, restrictions, warnings and rules next to your pit or locker rooms.
6. Driver safety:
You should provide helmets with a clear indication of the size on them. To improve the hygiene, people should wear a personal balaclava.
7. Kart Control System:
The use of a kart control system allows you to control what happens on your track. It is possible to slow your go-karts down or completely shut them down individually or in groups.
8. Fire safety:
Make sure that fire extinguishers are available close to the pit area and all around your track.
